A group of 10 people have recently returned from Hogar Montaña. Our church was able to help build homes for the children of Hogar. Below you can read the updates that led to this amazing experience. Be sure to check out the pictures. A Fall trip is on the works, so please check back for dates.

We have already had a remarkable response to our church’s goal to sponsor and build a Children’s Home (for 12 children) in Hogar Montana, ministry founded by Al and Brenda Gatti. |

As you may remember, the local government there has committed to match our gift and likely our gift will enable two houses to be built. We are now well over $30,000 raised and some additional nominal funds have been identified that can help us get closer to the $50,000 goal. If you intend to give a special gift to this particular cause, please do so as soon as possible. |
During the season of Easter “Palm Sunday to Pentecost” starting March 16 and ending May 11, we conducted a campaign called “A Chance for God’s Children.” The purpose of this campaign was for CUMC to come together and build a second children’s home at Hogar Montana. Our goal of $50,000 will buy all the construction materials to build the next home. The timing of God’s call to us as a church is wonderful. Of equal importance, the Governor of Coahuila Mexico pledged matching dollars to our gifts for construction materials during a recent tour of the facilities and on the local radio. Through our donations, prayers and service, we will bring glory to God and allow us to fulfill our mission “…To Make Him Known.”
Throughout this campaign, we had faith witnesses testifying, information on our web site, and discussions in all our small groups. You may be called by God to participate as individuals or as a member of a group. Our next mission trip to Hogar Montana is June 14-21, and is being planned by Curt Terry.
