Prayer Opportunities:
Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Every Tuesday morning the UMM meet at 7:00 a.m. in the Dining Room of the church for breakfast, a short devotional, and intercessory prayer time. Come and join us!
United Methodist Women Day of Prayer
It's held on the first friday of every month. Our Sanctuary at Poplar and Prayer Room are open for intercessory prayer throughout the day. A short meditation is provided along with a list of prayer requests.
Hedge Ministry
Members will pray for our pastors, leaders and Sunday School teachers on Sunday mornings at home and in the Prayer Room on a rotation basis. At least one person is now praying each Sunday morning between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., petitioning the Holy Spirit to move in our worship services and Sunday School Classes.
CUMC National Day of Prayer
Hosted a community wide prayer service in April and joined other Collierville community churches on the square for prayer on the National Day of Prayer. Our prayer emphasis was “Collierville Pastors.” God moved in a beautiful and powerful way as we prayed for the needs of others and for our nation.
Prayer Walks
Prayer Walk brochures are available in the Prayer Room with scriptural references. Individuals or groups commit to prayer walking inside and outside our church campus.
Prayer Altar Ministry, Shirley Roach Chairperson
Approximately 45 members of our congregation have been trained as Prayer Altar Ushers, or Prayer Partners, and are available at the end of each Sunday worship service to pray with you. They are also available at the altar to pray with you upon request during prayer time during a worship service.
Prayer – Alive Prayer
Alive is a new ministry of Asbury and McKendree Districts. The purpose of Prayer Alive is to provide a time and place for 200+ prayer advocates to intentionally pray as a united group for local and global needs. It also provides ways to enlarge the prayer ministry of the local church through training, education and experience.
