Beginning January 1, 2025, Melissa will step into the role of Pastoral Intern, while starting her second semester of seminary at Methodist Theological School in Ohio. She is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree with the intention to become a Licensed Local Pastor. Melissa and husband, Lance, along with children Hannah, Isabella, and Jordan have attended Collierville UMC for more than 12 years. For the last seventeen years, she has cherished, loved, and cared for their children, while always hearing the quiet whisper to follow God’s particular call on her life.

Melissa grew up in Florence, Alabama for most of her life. She moved to Memphis from ages 9-15. She graduated from the University of North Alabama, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Mathematics and spent many years in Management. “I am honored to begin this new chapter as a Pastoral Intern with CUMC as we all listen to our own special call and use our unique gifts to share the love of Jesus with all!”
