THE GATHERING RETURNS: 8/21

Our midweek programming starts in earnest on 8/21 with amazing classes, dinner together, time with friends and growing further in your faith! Along with the classes listed, we have Children and Student Ministry activites. Check out the class offerings below:

SOUL SIPS @ The COMMON CUP: Open Wednesdays this spring semester from 6:30 – 8pm. This fan-favorite from last semester is returning to bring you discipleship practices in a non-threatening environment. Serving coffee and tea and creating space for prayer and other spiritual practices. Most importantly, it is a welcoming spot for people to connect without any pressure or commitments. Come as you are and stay as long as you’d like. Melissa Brasher will pick up where Rev. Christy Brown left off, repeating favorites and maybe exploring some brand-new practices of discipleship.

Rm 101 – THE MAIN ROOM: ENOUGH!: We’re all living in a world that demands more and more of us every day. But what if we decided that we have enough? We are enough? And most importantly but if we finally admitted to ourselves that God’s love is enough? Dr. Joey Reed expands the scriptures from Sunday morning and gives the sermon a little more mileage each week for this roundtable discussion.

Rm. 100 The MOM TRIBE & Rm. 107 The MEN’S TRIBE:  These two tribes choose their own adventures! Whether it’s a book study, a deep conversation about life, or simply praying over one another, both groups are all about doing life together. Led by Katie and Len Landers, these groups are saving you a seat for you to join.

Rm. TBA  – WALKING WITH JAMES: One of the most straightforward letters in the New testament was penned by the brother of Jesus, Saint James. Join our own Patrick Mason as he shares his experiences with the saint along his journeys through Spain and beyond. Coming in September!

Rm. TBA – YOUR FINANCIAL HEALTH: Managing our household dollars is not at all easy. In difficult economic times, it’s even harder. Cary Pappas leads this short series of lessons on money Management, budgeting and making the most of your hard-earned dollars. Coming late September and October.

Choir Room – THE CHOIRS! Do you like to sing? Do you want to learn some things about singing in an ensemble? Both of our choirs meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm in the choir room down near the Poplar Sanctuary to sing together and prepare for Sunday worship. Questions? Email Dr. Sarah Harper: sharper@colliervilleumc.org.
